Being maid of honour for my cousin for her wedding next year, I booked an appointment at the Dress Place to view wedding dresses with her. I made the booking on line with very swift replies. There were 6 of altogether on the day of the appointment, and from the minute we walked in we couldn’t of felt more welcomed.
I had heard mixed reviews about the Dress Place but we all couldn’t of been more happier from start to finish. We were greeted by Wendy who took us out in to the back where the very good sized fitting rooms where and she got seats for all us. She sat with us for a good 45 minutes I would say, just introducing herself and telling us a bit about her work and how long she’s been with the company and other bridal shops from her past and what the Dress Place as to offer and its history. Then she moved onto getting to know Amy and the story behind her and Jake and their wedding day. She took a real interest and spent time in getting to know us all.
Before going off in search of wedding dresses, she did ask Amy what sort of budget she was looking at…. as you would really. Amy went in low… Wendy’s answer was very honest and she went into explain the quality and design of their dresses. This said, Wendy took us in search of wedding dresses. She picked some lovely dresses.
I’d say Amy tried on about 8 or 9 dresses, all different styles, some styles Amy wasn’t keen on when just shown on the hanger. Anyways Amy ended up purchasing the first dress she tried on in the end. We all knew that the first time she tried it on that that was THE ONE.
It was a lovely Bardot style, open lace back, figure hugging white dress. Absolutely gorgeous. We all cried. We celebrated with a glass of fizz there and then poured by Wendy.
Honestly, I couldn’t praise and recommend the Dress Place and Wendy enough for the time and expertise they showed and gave us throughout our whole appointment. In fact, we are booking appointments to go back for mother of the bride, grandmother and Auntie wedding outfits just after Christmas. Well done again the Dress Place!!
